If you need urgent help with your mental health, support is available

In an emergency:


-Contact your GP (General Practitioner). You can request an emergency appointment with them.

-Call your nearest NHS walk-in centre or go to A&E (Accident and Emergency) at your local hospital


Other crisis services you can contact:


-Open Door – Stockport residents can phone a 24/7 emotional support helpline on 0800 138 7276 

-Samaritans – available 24/7 throughout the year, for confidential emotional support. Phone 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org

-SANEline – support for those of us with mental health problems (aged 16+), their families and Carers, through telephone and online support. They’re available 4.30pm-10.30pm daily on 0300 304 7000 or info@sane.org.uk

-Shining a Light on Suicide – support for people who are feeling suicidal, those concerned that someone they know might be thinking of suicide, and people bereaved by suicide. http://www.shiningalightonsuicide.org.uk/

-Man About A Dog Stockport – a project supporting anyone who is feeling suicidal or who has survived a suicide attempt. You can text or phone 07706 115 471
